At the age of sixteen I crawled behind the wheel of a stock car for the first time at our local dirt track and was hooked.  The adrenalin coursing through my viens became addictive as I pushed my car and myself to the limit. I lived for Saturday nights. Of course it had its low points. Mostly I was ignored by the field of male drivers I comepeted against - I was the only female on the track - until I beat them, then the nasties showed their faces. Over time I became a regular fixture at the track and won the respect from most of the drivers.

I drove stock cars on Saturday nights and micro sprints -oversized go karts with wings- on Sunday afternoons, until one very cold spring Sunday when the racing gods frowned on me. An equipment failure left me severly burned on my upper left arm and scarred for life. It took the rest of the season to heal. I gave up the micro sprints and concentrated on stock cars.

Over the years one driver pitted next to me week after week, never talking much, but smiling and watching. A handsome young man with pitch black hair, a sexy smile and always willing to help if I needed it. Well, one day he asked me out. I was thrilled, three months later we were engaged, seven months later we were married. Nineteen years later we have three wonderful children, a business and life is good.

My books are centered around female characters that don't back down when pushed around, fight back and don't think twice about becoming involved in a mans world. They might not realize they have the moxy right away, but by the end, they're kicking butt.

Each story contains a little piece of me. I draw on my personal experiences because racing wasn't the only thing I stepped into that women didn't belong.

Enter a world where anything can happen.......Enter my world and hold on tight, its usually a bumpy ride.
