Either the headhunters would whack off her head, or the cannibals would boil and eat her. Perhaps, Liz would be slain in a tribal conflict, or in one of the military coups in Africa? Did witch doctors still operate in 1980? Either way, her heart pounded, and hands trembled as she walked toward the travel agency.

Hi
I'm looking for another writer to help identify areas that 'don't work' and I shall do the same. Positive critque is crucial otherwise I am very liable to end up crying and never writing another word ever again!
Thanks.

I'm looking for a male writing partner, mid-thirties to mid-forties to help with authenticity of my main character. Must be honest, willing to give both constructive criticism and ideas for improvement, but also able to point out things that are working well within the piece. I need objectivity, rationality, and someone who is not easily offended by violent and/or harsh subject matter. An overall impression and a line by line critique would be great, and in return, I promise to give the same attention to detail that I'm asking of my partner. Only serious writers please, someone with the commitment and dedication to follow through with an entire novel. No quitters.

I write women's fiction. It has romance in it of course but also portrays a strong character. I don't write about whiny, pathetic women as my heroines. I'd really like an honest CP and I in turn can be on for you. I will be brutally honest as I expect the same from my CP. Please email me if you are interested. I read mostly anything. I'm fine with vampires too. :) If I had to say what I have a problem reading, it would be....westerns? I'm including appx. the first 500 words to review to see if anybody would be interested in continueing. It is appx. 94,000 words and completed. Oh and to clarify, this is not my first manuscript. I am not a beginner. Thank you.

Searching for a writing partner
Hi, I'm searching for a critiquing partner for my books. I've already published a short story and have already submitted the 1st of a trilogy to my publisher. I generally write a mixture of adventure/ romance with humor usually in an urban setting but with fantasy based characters. I'm looking for someone with a good eye, is honest (not cruel) with their critiques and is easy with giving suggestions to alternate phrasing of words (at times I go brain dead and find myself reusing words). I also tend to use strong language or graphic situations depending on the character so don't be squeamish.
I'm easy to get along with though my humor is a bit off based but if your interested in helping me (and visa versa) please contact me at my e-mail.

I am in search of a critique partner. I've been writing for years but finally realized with threats of layoffs at work that I really should be redirecting my fear into something I love doing than solely being grateful to have a job. Answering the what would I do if has made me rethink my writing hobby to seek a career. I've spent the last 9 months researching the industry and spending time working on some ideas and am ready to find an honest critique partner who can mentor me and my work to ready for publishing.

It was a beautiful Thursday evening. The moon slowly rose above the ridge of the old barn, John always promised to have renovated. Hues of orange and pink strewn across the sky indicated that tomorrow would be another very hot day. Beyond those fluffy clouds, I wondered what was going on with the atmosphere.
Eight months of continuous sunshine and intensive heat became unbearable. People were fainting and dying from the sweltering high temperatures, whilst hospitals constructed temporary beds along the corridors to accommodate numerous patients.
The flipside of this was the beachfront scenery, which reminded me of wild life documentaries, but instead of animals was littered with hundreds of sunbathers.

Tell me again what we’re doing in the cemetery at midnight?” I asked, tossing a long lock of my blonde hair over my shoulder. “It’s a school night you know.”
Sebastian sighed. “This is part of your training, Simone. Every night you need to guard the town and protect the good people of Witchburn.”
It was dark. The full moon hung against a canopy of stars, and the half-light cast grotesque shadows over the headstones and through the wrought-iron gates, the buildings of the affluent Northern California homes gleamed darkly in the moonlight.
I noticed I had mud on my new jeans already—I was not happy. The autumn evening was warm for mid October and now I wished I’d worn a t-shirt instead of this long-sleeved knit sweater. And it itched.

I am looking for a critique partner. I write short stories and short romances. Beginning this year I have writing with publication in mind. I have been published previously in the past, small now-defunct magazines, but would like to write for larger audiences. Below is a story that I finished sometime last year.
