Searching for a writing partner
Hi, I'm searching for a critiquing partner for my books. I've already published a short story and have already submitted the 1st of a trilogy to my publisher. I generally write a mixture of adventure/ romance with humor usually in an urban setting but with fantasy based characters. I'm looking for someone with a good eye, is honest (not cruel) with their critiques and is easy with giving suggestions to alternate phrasing of words (at times I go brain dead and find myself reusing words). I also tend to use strong language or graphic situations depending on the character so don't be squeamish.
I'm easy to get along with though my humor is a bit off based but if your interested in helping me (and visa versa) please contact me at my e-mail.

I want to start a small writer's circle of aprox. five new erotic romance authors to work together, support each other through our successes and falls - have a group blog, myspace, etc. And possible competitions offering prizes to readers.

If you'd like to be a part of Wicked Sexy Authors, email me with details of yourself, your publisher, and a sample of your writing.

I am in search of a critique partner. I've been writing for years but finally realized with threats of layoffs at work that I really should be redirecting my fear into something I love doing than solely being grateful to have a job. Answering the what would I do if has made me rethink my writing hobby to seek a career. I've spent the last 9 months researching the industry and spending time working on some ideas and am ready to find an honest critique partner who can mentor me and my work to ready for publishing.

It was a beautiful Thursday evening. The moon slowly rose above the ridge of the old barn, John always promised to have renovated. Hues of orange and pink strewn across the sky indicated that tomorrow would be another very hot day. Beyond those fluffy clouds, I wondered what was going on with the atmosphere.
Eight months of continuous sunshine and intensive heat became unbearable. People were fainting and dying from the sweltering high temperatures, whilst hospitals constructed temporary beds along the corridors to accommodate numerous patients.
The flipside of this was the beachfront scenery, which reminded me of wild life documentaries, but instead of animals was littered with hundreds of sunbathers.

Tell me again what we’re doing in the cemetery at midnight?” I asked, tossing a long lock of my blonde hair over my shoulder. “It’s a school night you know.”
Sebastian sighed. “This is part of your training, Simone. Every night you need to guard the town and protect the good people of Witchburn.”
It was dark. The full moon hung against a canopy of stars, and the half-light cast grotesque shadows over the headstones and through the wrought-iron gates, the buildings of the affluent Northern California homes gleamed darkly in the moonlight.
I noticed I had mud on my new jeans already—I was not happy. The autumn evening was warm for mid October and now I wished I’d worn a t-shirt instead of this long-sleeved knit sweater. And it itched.

I am looking for a critique partner. I write short stories and short romances. Beginning this year I have writing with publication in mind. I have been published previously in the past, small now-defunct magazines, but would like to write for larger audiences. Below is a story that I finished sometime last year.

ISO Romantic Suspense CP
I am seeking a critique partner/sounding board for romantic suspense. I've been writing off and on for the last sixteen years (those pesky college degrees just really put a crimp in my writing time), seriously for the last two. I've got a master's degree in clinical psychology, with an interest in forensic psychology. I aim mostly toward romantic suspense and mystery, with the occasional foray into young adult. A snip from my current WIP is provided below.

Hi, I have been writing off and on for many years. Thought I had one novel and a short story published, and it was to come out this June. I contacted my editor and she said that she has to 'Find herself first.' So I am back to the beginning, again. My aim is toward Harlequin or Silhouette Super Romance or Steeple Hill-- Love Inspired. I am in need of a CP who will give me honest feedback and an opinion and in return I will do the same.

Desperately Seeking Critique Partner
Hello. I'm desperately seeking a critique partner. I have no writer friends and would love to have someone to share writing with. I write erotic romance in the sub-genre of urban fantasy. I am unpublished as of yet and am busy at work on a project. I'm 35, married without children. If I sound like a good fit for you, let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. I will gladly send interested writers a sample of my writing upon request.

I'm a college student working towards her BA in English and I'm also an aspiring author. I'm working on my first manuscript, which is a contemporary romance, and I'm looking for a critique partner that can keep me in line because I am a procrastinator and get distracted very easily. I'm starting out with contemporary romance but want to branch out to historical romances and maybe paranormal romances. I also have a writing sample of what I'm working on right now.

And God in His infinite wisdom shuffled and cut a large deck of playing cards before miraculously flipping over one of the coveted aces. “Lucky girl,” He smiled, handing the lone diamond to a young spirit. “Have a pleasant journey.” With long flaxen hair free of split-ends, sparkling eyes as blue as a break in a cloudy sky, and a body mothers of her one day junior high school classmates would die for, Amber Elizabeth Remington would never want for anything during her sojourn on Earth. Kind of like Barbie.

Hello. I've been writing seriously now for about five years and have had some success in the publishing world. I write historical novels, mostly Regency though I'm dying to submit a Western. I'm looking for a crit partner who likes to correspond frequently, at least three or four times a week who will offer honest insight on everything from grammar and plot to career moves. She can expect the same from me. Below is a writing sample of a novel I've recently put on the back burner but hope to pull it out again soon.

I'm looking for a critique partner/proofreader. I am a former technical writer, have had a couple projects published over the years, but am new to the romance field. I primarily write romantic erotica, my main genres are Sci Fi and Urban Fantasy. Some of my stuff is explicit, offbeat, and out of the box, I'm looking for someone who will be comfortable with that.
